Love this post Jodi :) As we are always saving for a trip and most of the time it's a trip to Disney.

We do the automatic transfers into a savings account and have found that really works for us. The set it and forget part helps a lot!

For everyday purchases (groceries, gas, clothes) we use credit cards with rewards – cash back or travel related and that helps us a bit too. Whatever we get back at the end of the year goes into our travel savings account.

Love the 52 week savings challenge and just started this week for my kids. Excited that there will be $1400 at the end of the year for them! Hopefully I can keep it up as I'm sure it will get more difficult by the end of the year.

We are trying too! You could bring in items in for consignment at clothing or kids goods stores. Join a coupon chain to get more coupons to use towards items you buy anyways. Have a meatless meal a week. Bake snacks instead of buying sweets.
