Back to school Shopping!
My boys are constantly growing. My oldest is almost six feet now and wears a size 13 shoe. My youngest had his first growth spurt this summer and went up one shoe size and is in dire need of clothes. With back to school around the corner, and so many deals being offered. We headed to Sears for their Back We Go Sales and Events to see if we could make a $100 gift card stretch and find some good deals.
Mens hooded shirts $29 and up, soft cotton with different patterns on the front
My oldest hates wearing pants and wears nothing but shorts. It must be a teen thing because he wears shorts in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Not just any shorts though, they must be basketball style or cotton shorts, something breathable. He also loves hoodies. So I picked up a really cool, light-weight hoodie shirt for $29.99 plus a pair of shorts grey cotton rugby style shorts for $14.99. Both were a great deal and since he’s not a kid anymore we had to shop in the men’s department.
Back to school deals for kids short sets $12.00 and $14.00 each, licensed wear.
My youngest is going into grade two and already has tons of pants. So we opted to buy him a short set, something he could wear for gym, on a nice sunny day and something cool. There’s nothing better than Lego Star Wars. I mean how cool is that? Sears Canada has all the licensed wear kids adore. Everything from Incredible Hulk, Superman, Lego and Hot Wheels, Disney Cars and more to brand names like; Osh Kosh Levis, Nike, Adidas, Carters and Tommy Hilfiger!
As we wandered around Sears taking notice of all the different brands they carry. I heard an announcement over the PA. For 2 days Sears was having a sale. If you purchased clearance items and used your Sears Credit card you could receive up to an additional 50% off. If you used any other form of payment you would get an additional 40% off. After hearing that I rushed over to the shoe section and found a pair for Monkey that he loves!
Tommy Hilfiger slip on boat runners, tan in color with red and blue on the sides. They were regular priced at $49.99 and on sale for $22.99. With the added 40% off, we got the shoes for only $14.00! I couldn’t believe what a great deal we got, and now Monkey has back to school and easy to slip on shoes he can wear every day.
Do You Know About the KidVantage Lifetime Wear Out Warranty?
Shopping in the Kids room was easy peasy. The staff was awesome in helping us, and we found everything we needed in colors and styles. I’m also very impressed by the Sears Canada KidVantage lifetime wear out warranty!
This warranty covers kids apparel and footwear as long as a child in the family continues to wear the size. So if the item wears out before this time, you’re covered. Meaning if Monkey’s shoes wear out or fall apart, I’m covered and can go back to Sears to get a replacement. That’s pretty cool in my mom book if you ask me!
Color on Lego Ninja Shirt Sears $9.99 40% off
Another great thing that impressed me is Sears Canada also features an amazing Price Match Guarantee matching any competitor’s advertised price on identical items within 30 days of purchase, or 90 days if made with a Sears Financial Credit Card. So you can save money while shopping at one location for your back to school clothes and needs.
All in all the boys had a great time shopping, and I managed to get some great deals and stretch my $100 to pick up some much needed items the boys love!
Sears Canada is running a “Back We Go” Facebook contest. You can win 1 of 5 weekly Sears Canada gift cards, and there are 35 daily $50 Sears Canada gift cards. This can help towards your back to school shopping! To enter “like” Sears Canada Facebook page
